‍ ‍In loving memory of Moses Repose Massa Oct 30th, 1932 - June 21 2017

Bermuda Kennels is rooted in something much deeper than just a place, it is a continuation of a family legacy.

The land our kennel sits on was purchased by my grandparents, Moe and Johanna Massa, in 1989. Many years after Moe immigrated from Bermuda. What began as a raw mountainside was, through years of hard work and vision, transformed into the woodland garden it is today.

Together, they shared a deep love for gardening, planting and nurturing what has grown into over 1,200 rhododendrons that now surround the property. Today, Johanna continues to carry that vision forward, maintaining the beauty and spirit of what they created.

That same care has been passed down through generations. My father, Doug Massa, has played an important role in shaping and maintaining the land, helping preserve what was started and ensuring it remains something truly special.

The name Bermuda Kennels is a tribute to where that journey began, and to the people who built it.

Today, we carry that legacy forward as a family-rooted kennel, offering a calm intentional space for dogs, grounded in the same care, patience, and respect that shaped Bermuda Place.
